Volant Intake Scoop came off!

While installing, I thought to myself... there is nothing securing the front end of the air scoop... and how unsecure this was...

 

welp.. the other day while driving.. it just fell off.

 

Everything was installed correctly and tight... I contacted Volant, but they never returned my email.. o well....

I never really thought about it until you said it, but yeah, the scoop doesn't seem to secure too well. I have a Volant intake, but didn't purchase the scoop. But from what I've seen and if I'm not mistaken, the scoop just slips on right? Hopefully Volant responds to your e-mail.

For what it's worth, when I put mine on I used zip-ties to secure the ram-air tube. So far, so good!
