I have a 1995 chevy regency c 1500 pickup that has a 5 speed manual transmission.  I need to find out what fluid type and capacity I need, the auto parts places do not have the answer they say automatic transmission fluid but then says gear oil..  I'm confused doesn't make any since to me..

If it's a NV4500 in that, gear oil.

If a NV3500, it takes Synchromesh.

Got the info from Amsoil. Some guys run ATF instead of Synchromesh, but Amsoil makes a Synchromesh specifically for that.
