For the race some one in charge at WKA made the bonehead decision to start the Juniors ahead of us with a 30 sec head start. Well I started in the 23rd spot and had a good start. I was able to hang with the lead draft until we caught the juniors. They got in the way and my group lost the lead draft. Ended up finishing 8th.

There was quite a bit of Nextel stuff there. One on the guys at the gate we were talking to Sunday morning was telling us how Nextel is trying to change the points system. He said that with Nextel's system if a driver was not in the top 10 with 10 races left, then he would not have much of a chance at a top 10 finish in the points.

 

I wont be back to Daytona till this time next year.
