Well, in the last week I have gone through 2 tires.....grrrr...

And so I need to get new tires a little earlier than planned.

I have to go get them tomorrow (Saturday) morning.  Whats good?  What do you all recommend?  And what is the biggest, tallest tire I can fit on my stock wheel ( '96 Z71).

I want a somewhat aggressive tread (more than stock at least....) and I will do mostly on road driving with weekend camping trips and trips to the snow and stuff like that.

I read a while back that the biggest I can go is 295/75, is that true?

Also, I think the Nitto Terra Grappler looks kinda cool.  Not sure how easy it will be to find though.....

Ok, shoot.

personally i had BFG all terrans on my 89. just in a 35x12.50x15. they are great tires. worked very well in the dirt and sand, and nice street handling. when i get new tires for my 95 they'll be a smaller version of what i put on the 89 (as long as the load range is correct). i don't know about your tire size limit.

my dad's 97 K2500 has i believe 235/85/r16's i have 275/70/r16. can't be 100% on that since its dark outside and i'm lazy. plus my dad is camping right now.

Anything but the BFG PLease!!!!!

Everyone and their great grandmother has those tires.  And they don't perform in snow for ####.(If you live in a cold climate)

Get a cooper type tire.  Their rubber is a little softer, but their prices are more than reasonable and they have some cool looking tread patterns.

Well, I got America's Tire Co.  "Phantom"  something or other tire.  It's a BFG made tire, looks real close to the BFG KO, real close.  But $106 per tire VS. $170 for the KO.  I got 4 285/75's.  Total of $515.00 for everything intstalled plus the extra warranty.
