Heated Seats on an 07 2500 LTZ

Quick weird question,

I have an 07 Duramax LTZ. There is a dual head zone for the front seats. 

Now for the question, I thought my seat had a heated bottom and back sections, as the buttons on the door panel show,

However, I noticed I cant hit the back only heat selection as the light goes out after 1 min.

So, I took my truck to the GM dealer for service, as it appears that the back heating pad was not working.

 

The service advisor called me back and said, my truck does not have the back heater option, only on the bottom cusion.

 

Does this sound correct???

That there is the button and no ability to heat the back of the drivers seat.

 

I will be testing the passenger seat when I pick the truck up later tonight.

Minor Update: The Gm Mechanic stated it appears someone swapped the seat at one time. 

Was there a seat that had the bottom heater pad only?

I looked at locating a replacement used seat and there appears to be almost 50 seat options. Ouch..

Now this is funny: I took my truck in last November to get the drivers heated seat pad replaced and was told, there is no part # available according to your VIN... I took my truck in to have the 4WD looked at.... they said there was a code for a seat pad failure on the back of the drivers side....

whaaaaa???
