My 2018 GMC Sierra wouldn't start the other day.  All the accessories work but the engine does not turn over.  Left it for the day and tried again and it started right up.  That was 3 days ago.  Last night the same problem occurred.  We thought it might be a locked starter so put it in neutral, rolled it, and put it in reverse to try to bump it.  The truck just kept rolling.  Came back to it today and and after a few tries it started.  Took it to the dealer and they can't replicate it and there are no faults showing.

When the truck was about 6 months old I had a similar but different problem.  With this problem the truck would start but all the warnings showed that nothing was working.  I put the truck in reverse and the transmission wouldnt engage, just like the problem I'm having now.  If I let it sit for a few minutes the the transmission would engage but when I drove it it wouldnt shift out of second gear.  If I shut it down and left it for 15 minutes, I could come back to it and it would start up and operate normally, but the check engine light would stay on.  That would go away after a day or two.

I think these problems are connected and somehow related to the electronics of the truck.  Has anyone experienced similar or the same issues?  I can find nothing online that speaks to these problems.
