Door ajar and window not working

I have a 2017 Silverado. Just recently the passenger side window stopped working. I can't lower or higher it from the driver switch nor the passenger switch. I dont hear the motor working. Just doesnt do anything. But then all of a sudden every once in a while the passenger side door says its ajar. I have to close it hard for it to sense its closed. I read that it could be the window motor or also to check the wires. Can someone give me where should i start first?
