yellow 2500 gmc

new to board just bought a 2001 gmc 2500 4x4 and i am wondering if someone can tell me more information and production numbers for this color.does anyone else out there own one and do you have any pics.truck is yellow not sure the name bought used no window sticker,interior is graphite.

Chev had a gawdawful "Sunset Gold" or somesuch on their color list in 2001 or 2002 --- looked like a schoolbus gone wrong.

Most likely that color was available for a "fleet purchase". There are special order colors from GM if you buy multiple vehicles. These colors aren't available to the regular guy that orders a truck.

I han't seen any 2500's but these a 1/2 ton stepside and 1/2 ton fleetside in my area. I'm not exactly sure what years they are though. I love the color and think it looks great. If fact, had I had the chance to get that color when I got my truck, I more than likely woul have gotten the yellow.

Whew, thank god the interior is graphite....would have hated to see a yellow interior along with the yellow exterior.

 

Thankfully I have never seen one made by GM, but I have seen several Dodges that color. Sorry.

Could have been part of the fleet purchase for Dewalt. There are a few of them running around here.

I don't know about the numbers or GMC, but I do know that Chevy has a yellow color option on the trucks, at least they did/do for the '03 and'04 models. Have seen both 1500 and 2500s on the dealer lots around here.

 

A buddy of mine even brought a yellow 2500 4x4 by the office one day while he was out test driving it...

 

It's not the color for me, but if you like it, that's all that matters...
