Touch screen problems

Guys, my digitizer LCD has a bad spot and I wanted to replace it.  However, the ribbon cable is very small compared to all of the pics I see in this forum or online.  I own a 2014 Silverado LT Z71, but it was one of the first 2014 models.  The only alternative I could try it to buy the circuit board as well, but I am not sure it would be cost effective.  Does anyone know where I could buy a new digitizer with the smaller ribbon cable?

Just get the works from a salvage yard $75-$150 swap out your hvac controls and pop it it in the dash good to go.

All, has anyone experienced the small dashboard screen doing the same thing? Or is this tied to the main screen?
