I got a price of $550 installed but was wondering do they have different series like Flowmaster does with their 40's..50's and so on and if they do which one sounds good but won't make you have to holler at the person beside you ?

I'm not sure about the truck exhausts but my wife has a Magnaflow catback on her Mustang GT and there were only two to choose from: Magnaflow and Magnapack

The Magnaflow hos mufflers, but the Magnapack is actually a resonator not a muffler. The Magnapack is much much louder than the Magnaflow. We love the Magnaflow on her Mustang...not too aggressive at idle but really wakes up at WOT.

Now I do have an SLP Loudmouth exhaust on ym Firehawk which is the same design as the Magnapack (6" round resonator no muffler) and it is quite obnoxious. You'll be very happy with the Magnaflow!! Hope this helps!! :uhoh:

I would suggest you take a look at the Magnaflow two in two out muffler. It is the same as running duals. My understanding is that it is a dual through muffler with and x-pipe in the center. Mine is a low rumble at idle and low RPM's, at WOT it really rumbles. It will get louder for the first year and then stay the same. I have one on my 8.1 and I get complements on it all the time. I would really recommend using small tailpipes so you don't lose your low end. I went with 2 inch tailpipes and didn't notice any loss. Mine cost 250.00 installed including tailpipes. Good luck with what ever you pick. :uhoh:

About the only thing they have is different sizes.

I think they have a 5x8 and then a 8x11 or something like that. The bigger ones are quiter at idle and help with the resonation at 2k rpm. I've seen them both installed and heard them both. I like the 5x8 in a single exhast setup and the 8x11 in a dual setup exiting out the sides. Nice and quite at Idle and wakes up when you get on her....

Good luck
