How in the hell could this dent have appeared

Just noticed this nice dent. I’m not exactly sure what could have managed to impact that specific spot on the sierra text. The only thing I could think of is a lifted truck backing into me.

Mine looks similar after opening the tailgate with a ratchet and socket laying on the bumper.

I haven’t opened my tailgate onto anything… that’s the weird part. It seems like such a precise impact, trailer hitch perhaps?

Someone opened the tailgate with something on the bumper and shut it pinching whatever in there, trailer hitch wouldn't do that that high up over the bumper. Hard ice perhaps.

Dented Mine Just Like That when I put the Screwdriver on the Bumper to Change the tail light Bulb, I was so Mad! 

My Buddy was there and was Laughing... He Got the dent out with a dent puller suction cup thing.

i can still see the ripple.

So Frustrating!
