3500 SRW ???

I am currently looking at buying a new Chev D/A either 2500 hd or 3500 srw to pull a 5'r with. I as at one of GM's websites that can let you outfit your truck and it will calculate the different weights. I noticed the 3500 extra cab was about 150# heavier (curb weight) then the C/C. On the 2500 hd the c/c are always heavier then the extra cabs. Does anyone know why this is? I think that maybe they got the weights backwards, but when you add up the curb weight to the max payload it was 9900#.

I would say they got there numbers mixed up. The crewcabs should be heavier given the fact that they are 10" longer than the excab.

I would check the wheelbase of each model and go by that...
