HID kit on a '04 Silverado

Hey guys,

I am wanting to order a HID kit to go in my '04 silverado. I was wondering if there would be any problems doing so and what kit to order. What are our low beams? 9005? 9006?

You would want 9006 for the low beams. You can do this, but I would really recommend against it. I started messing with HID conversion kits about 2 years ago, went through about 4 kits, and 2 setups straight from BMW. Nothing works that well. Your headlights were not designed for HID, it makes a huge difference. The color will be slightly off (especially if you go with 4100k as you should).

And despite what these companies say about their bulbs being rebased, the beam pattern WILL be off.

If you have the money and resources, I would do this right. Get some E-Code Projectors off Ebay from a BMW, AUDI or S2000. Mount them in your headlights, and install a set of D2S 4100k Bulbs.

BTW, there is no aftermarket HID kit out there that is legal with the exception of the Sylvania Xenarc Kit (which I have now; only for 99-02).
