I was really bored and couldn't sleep and found this on the net. Took me about 45 mins, but I got the answer on the first try. I dunno if that's good or bad??? PM me if you want the webpage that has the answer, I didn't want any cheating.

This quiz is supposed to have been written by Einstein. He said that 98% of the people in the world cannot solve the quiz. Could you be among the other 2%?

There are 5 houses, each is a different colour

In each house lives a person of a different nationality.

These 5 owners all drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.

No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand of cigar or drinks the same drink as another owner.

1: The Briton lives in a red house.

2: The Swede keeps dogs as pets

3: The Dane drinks tea

4: The green house is on the left of the white house (they are also next door to each other)

5: The green house owner drinks coffee

6: The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds

7: The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill

8: The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk

9: The Norwegian lives in the first house

10: The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats

11: The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill

12: The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer

13: The German smokes Prince

14: The Norwegian lives next to the blue house

15: The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

The question is: WHO KEEPS FISH?

Sweet!! I got it in 24 minutes. I think how you approach it on paper has a lot to do with the chance of solving it.

A house has a basement with 3 light switches. Each light switch controls one light fixture up stairs. Figure out which switch controls which light fixture. You start out in the basement and once you go upstairs you cannot go back downstairs. You are alone and cannot see the light fixtures from the basement.

***The solution is elegant... meaning that there are no extravagant means to solving this.

Yeah I think 98% of people don't feel like doing it, and then there's the 2% who want to waste their lives finishing silly puzzles....oh well...nothing better to do at 2 am

Leave the first switch on for about 20min turn it off, then turn on second switch, and go up stairs. If the light is on it's the second switch. If the light is off, but hot, it's the first switch. If it is off and cold, it's the third.
