I apologize if this topic has been started, but I couldn't find anything when searching for Console Safe in the topics.

 

Lock'er Down has this console safe that allows users to keep the USB port but you must permanently remove the clip in deep pocket tray, and temporarily remove the file folder brackets on the side in order to install the safe.  Has anyone purchased one of these safes?  For the 2018 Sierra, do the file folder brackets in the console just snap in or are they held in with screws?  I couldn't see any screws last night when I checked, and they seemed rather tight when I pulled on them.  I haven't found any specific videos on the 2018 Sierra console, only the 2014-2016 where these brackets just snap in and out.

I have one of the safest in my 2018 Silverado and another in my wife's 2020. My truck came with it when I bought it, but I added it to my wife's truck, hers has the file folder brackets and they do have small screws that hold them in place. You have to also remove the rubber mat in the bottom of your console and 2 10mm head screws to add the safe, reinstall the screws one you get the safe in place to prevent someone from walking off with the entire safe. Save the rubber mat in case you decide to sell or trade for a different GM truck.
