If that were mine, I'd return it and get the correct one.

But if that's not an option, go outside with a CLEAN bowl of CLEAN water and a helper (Will make things 200x easier) to hold the pump at an angle away from the both of you. WITHOUT the sock attached, make sure the base is completely submerged AT AN ANGLE, hook up the wires to a battery EXCEPT for the ground wire, then BRIEFLY tap the ground wire to battery ground for half a second. If you get a good burst of water out the outlet, take note of which way it's wired and install it that way in the truck. If you get nothing, or a very weak burst, reverse your wiring. Wire it whichever way gives you the biggest blast of water.

When done, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE the water from the pump BEFORE INSTALLING using brake clean or rubbing alcohol, getting it in both the inlet and outlet of the pump. No need to run it - put the battery away. Stick the straw from the brake clean right inside holding it upside-down, give it a good blast, then flip it over to let the brake clean run out. That'll absorb what's left of the water.  Install the sock back on the bottom of the pump, and install in the vehicle.
