So I recently bought and refinished a bed for my truck. Instead of making sure it was the right size I took my friends word for it. Turns out it was a 6.5ft bed and not a 5.5 ft bed. Is there anyway I can make it fit without alot of custom fabrication?

a skilled body man may be able to cut the front of the box off take a foot off and reattach it. I don't know if the mounts would line up. Follow redvetts advice and find the right bed. If there's an LKQ pick-a-part near you take a look, their prices are VERY reasonable

Not really.  Not without a ton of work and possibly decreasing your towing ability if you were to extend or section the frame at the back to accommodate the extra length.

Or you could change out the cab!
