2021 compass won't reset

2021 duramax 2500 LT diesel 28k

compass on the information panel only says "Cal". I've drove circles and the roads. Taken to dealer, have an active onstar account and unlimited internet. Dealer has replaced the antenna. Anyone have any ideas?

Check for anything magnetic near the compass sensor or its antenna.

Well I reviewed my 2022 Owner's Manual and found that the compass function is dependent on a GPS signal. Thus my thought about magnetic interference is that it is unlikely. The manual also noted that, if equiped, an open sunroof may affect the GPS signal. If you have the Navigation option, how does it perform? 

It doesn't seem that there will be a simple solution to resolve the disfunctionality of your compass feature. 

Good luck on root cause determination and corrective action. Let us know if an eventual solution is found.
