2020 Silverado 1500 4x4 6.2l 35,000 miles. Just started hearing a whining noise. Sounds like it is coming from under the truck near the bell housing or starter area. Happens at idle and in gear. Noise speeds up with more throttle. Not the front by the belt at all. Anyone have a similar noise and or feed back on what this could be. I have an appointment with the dealer but can get in for two weeks.

I had the same concern with my 2021 and 2022 Silverados. Both have made that same noise under the same conditions since new and currently over 30,000 miles with no issue or noise getting louder. Stays the same throughout mileage racking up more. I asked a GM tech about it and says it’s normal part of operation. I also have a 2021 Camaro 6.2 with 10 speed. That also makes the same noise, but maybe a little lighter sound than our trucks. Normal operation from my experience/understanding.
