Replacing Air Bag Control Module

Recommended Posts

Looking like the air bag module under the front drivers seat went bad. It got wet and internally shorting out.

I have a salvage yard replacment that is NOT from a wrecked truck. So no air bag deployment.

Question.

Do I have to do any programmingetc after replacement.

Also, the batteries have been out for 2 m onths while in short term storage.

Thanks,

Wow, you actually messed with air bag system, nice. Those are tricky in alot of different models. I know some guys who pulled battery, forgot to ground out the the air bag via clip, and the bag still deployed on them.

I would saying you simply replaced the unit, and no codes are displaying after starting up, then you should be fine.
