lower plastic section of steering wheel on 2022 silverado slt rough, sharp scrapping my fingers

Recommended Posts

so i drive with my hand on the lower section, (6  o'clock position) and i constantly scrape my fingertips, where my fingerprints are, on this section, it is where the plastic part of the covering meets the back side of the wheel. anyone else have this issue? its going into the dealer tuesday and am looking for others who have  this issue and or anyone who has had this resolved. if i  get no satisfaction from GM, i may take a sander to the plastic and file it down myself

I have the same thing. This was a common thing on construction equipment costing $200k.

you simply get fine strips of sandpaper and work it over sharp edge. keep going til you cant feel the edge anymore. That's all GM will do if you take it to dealer. Save yourself tome and trouble, sand it off yourself.
