2021 Trailboss tailgate randomly opens but I’ve noticed that every time I unlock the doors it does it.  Started when my wife used the app to unlock the doors and get something out of the bed.

Have you tried removing the battery connections, discharging the residual electricity to reset?

Your wife broke it.  Blame her.  When she complains about how expensive it is to fix, remind her it didn't stay malfunctioning until she used it.  No allowance for her for a few weeks, lol.
