Doing visual inspection for "clunking" noise cause. I see that the top and middle leafs on passenger side do not stack up evenly. Middle leaf is off by almost 1/2" from top leaf. No visible breaks. Driver side springs look good. Do hear random clunking when backing up and at driveway end at low speeds. Truck only has 16K miles. Never trailered anything.

Leaf springs are "Banded" together, check both sides, are the bands there and in tacked?

Order a set of "spring things" they're a rubber piece that you stick between the top and middle leaf spring. It will eliminate the clunking noise you hear. I had to put them on my 2023 silverado. I couldn't stand a brand new truck making a noise like that.

Any part number or location to buy "spring things"? My leafs on passenger rear side don't line up very well. See picture attached. Have only 16k miles on it, and have not done any towing.

Thanks!

Both driver and passenger rear leafs are the same. There are only bands on the forward section of the leaf assemblies, then the U bolts in the middle. No aft bands.

Is there a "roll pin" of some sort on these? If so, it is sheared.

OK, then jack up the truck, support the frame, then jack up the rear end a little and place stands under the axle, loosen the 4 u-bolt nuts, then jack up the axle, remove the stands then slowly let down the axle (which will "Un-Load the springs) then try to re-align the springs, and with a couple of LARGE tie straps cinch them together then jack and tighten everything and see what happens.
