Hi, what is a good brand of injectors for a 07 6.0 sierra 1500. Have done a dod delete and stage 2 cam. I see so many different injectors online that range from $40 for 8 to $500+ for 8 injectors. I know the cheaper are most likely cheap China stuff or remanufactured. I don't think I need to upgrade to a bigger injector, just a better injector then what it has would be nice. Actually it's a friend's truck he is insisting on replacing them. Thinking I should go with factory injectors. What do you guys think?

Any help would be great. Thanks

Let me put it this way, if you don't need larger injectors there is zero point in changing them.

Nothing about aftermarket injectors are going to be better than the OEM's. They are built off OEM designs and will flow fuel the exact same way a OEM injector will.

The new body style 6.0's at a guess come with 30ish lb/hr injectors, those should be plenty for mild cam 6.0. If on the off chance he is out flowing them, meaning he is pushing 90-95%+ duty cycle with a properly tuned engine, then he can upgrade to flex fuel 5.3 injectors or flex fuel 6.0 injectors.

The 5.3's are roughly 36-37lb/hr I believe and the 6.0's are 50lb/hr, both injectors can support over 400whp which is way more than this engine currently makes.

Thank you CamGTP! My thoughts exactly. Now I need to convince my friend he don't need them. He'd be better off spending the money on headers and exhaust in my opinion. He wants to make it run good but don't understand the way an engine works with multiple systems working together to achieve a good running engine. And how one thing changed could affect other things in a negative/positive way unless you upgrade them too or don't. If that makes any sense. LoL

The biggest thing this engine needs is a proper tune done by someone who knows the E38 controller that his truck has. I don't see injectors being required for him right now.

Thank you. I agree. I talked him into finding someone who has experience in tuning these engines. The guy that tuned it before specialized in import tuning. I'll see who locally I can find that can do it and we'll see what that does. Thanks again.
