Got the P06DD in 2021 and had the oil pump replaced by Chevy dealer in Ohio. Later that year I moved to Louisiana. Got the code again and took it to Chevy dealer here. I informed them it had been replaced by Chevy dealer in Ohio so it should be covered under a warranty replacement. After diagnosis, dealer calls me and tells me the code isnt for oil pump, but instead it's "internal failure" and requires a new engine ($11k). Since I know that sounds like mumbo jumbo, I drill down and find out that because of the mileage (185k) and age of the vehicle that the technician isnt comfortable with working on it and is recommending an engine replacement. Local dealership is denying the warranty coverage since it was repaired out of state. I challenge that because Chevy is Chevy and the local dealer basically blames the Ohio shop for incompetence saying that they may have done the repair as a bandaid repair instead of a proper diagnosis.

Im trying to see what recourse I have to be able to have them honor the repair warranty from the other dealership's work. Im trying to reserve lawyers as a last resort.
