Can you install a puck system in a used truck that doesn't have the prep package?

I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 AT4 that doesn't have the gooseneck/5th wheel prep package. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to install a puck system into the truck anyway. I'm not a fan of the aftermarket gooseneck hitches, and prefer having the pucks. GM said it has to be done by the manufacturer, but I thought I'd take a chance to see if anyone has a different opinion.

Yes you can.

You would need the crossmembers that are specific to the prep package. Without a non prep truck to looks at I couldnt say for sure if its a remove and replace or just adding the new crossmembers. Its likely you would have to use cap screws to attach the new parts. If you take on the project it would be a great thing to post pics of to help others.
