Check your grille shutters! My 2022 Silverado 1500 3.0  84,500 mi. has 2 upper and lower shutters. My 10L80 trans was running 190-195 trans temp I started looking hard and I noticed the shutters were closed. I removed the top splash pan (what I call it) that cover over the top of radiator and is held on with plastic push pins. I sprayed my upper and lower shutters on each end where they are held in with brake clean and then sprayed WD40. The road dirt, salt, etc. gets in there and doesn't allow them to open properly. My trans temp is now 170-175. Also I never had any codes. Not saying this is your problem but worth looking at.

Just as a final update to this for closure for anyone who's interested; I traded the truck in and I now own a 2026 Ram 2500. Due to the horrific support (or lack thereof) from GM, I've opted to leave the GM family, and won't be back until they figure out a process to help in situations like this.

Through two different dealers, dozens of emails back and fourth with GM Canada Support, constant lies, 12 visits to dealerships, and not a more than 1 single fix was found (or even attempted) for my truck. I've been a GM fanboy for as long as I can remember, and unfortunately due to the current state of their affairs, there's absolutely no way I can support this company any longer.

Best of luck to anyone else who has problems with their 10 speeds, this was a disastrous experience for me, and I'm glad to be done with it.

Best of luck to you Sir on your new Ram. I hope this one works out for you. Thanks for letting us know what did and didn't happen throughout this debacle.
