2015 Silverado Crew cab ac just isn't as cold as it should be or was. Being in South Florida ac is a must.

This is what I've come up with so far.

Fans turn on when ac is on. Driving longer distances ac cools but only to mid 60s (testing with a laser temperature gun) and usualy about 20 degrees less then outside temp. Short trips ac blows air but not hot and definitely not cool. Truck engine temp is within normal limits and isn't over heating. Not sure how long this has been brewing as most of my driving is early in the day.

The trucks days are numbered as im looking at a new vehicle very soon.

Thoughts ??

Simply may be low on refrigerant.

Actually on 10-4-23 stopped to say hi to a neighbor. He asked me why I was checking the temp. Have him the story and went to his garage and came out with a can of refrigerant. It would not take any. This am truck was no longer cooling at all. 🥵
