2024 Sierra HD AT4 Running board LED lights

On the AT4 forum someone mentioned the driver’s side LED lights on their factory running boards were not working (2024 Sierra HD AT4).

 

I checked mine and the driver’s side running board lights do not work but the passenger side lights work.

 

A few other people noticed the same thing, some had taken their’s to the dealer (including me) and although one person has had the module changed no one has said the driver’s side LED lights are working.

 

I’m wondering if it is a software problem and not a problem with the lighting module or the LED light strip in the driver’s side running board.

 

Does anyone here have a 2024 HD with a driver’s side running board light that works?

Mine work.  I did have a problem for the first couple hundred kilometers where the drivers side running board would decide at time not to deploy.  I checked connections and whatnot but it seems to have been fixed either through a software update or some other form of dark sorcery.

Great.  It's good to see that they work for someone!

 

 Mine deploy and retract fine, just don't light up.  

 

  It was just peculiar on the other forum when there are other people saying they have the same problem but no one saying theirs work.

My driver side lights stopped working also.  Is there something I should check before I take it to the dealer? 2024 Silverado. Thanks

Mine have worked properly from the start. So many weird issues with these lol.

Mine worked as well right from the start. Mind you, I've had the truck less than a week.

I have had my truck for 3 weeks 2024 2500hd ultimate, the lights were working but noticed last night they are not??

Well they ordered parts for mine a couple of months ago and I’m still waiting for them to arrive.

 

Meanwhile, the passenger side continues to work well and nothing happening on the driver’s side…

2024 ZR2 Bison HD with the same issue, passenger side light works, drivers side doesn’t. Truck build date of 11/23.

Can anyone explain to me when the led lights  are suppose to work on the steps? I cannot seem to get an awnser from anyone including my dealer. They are so sporadic. they went from nothing to now they come on when I remote start and sometimes when I shut vehicle off...But not always...

I have had a 2024 chevy 2500hd ltz since August of 2023. Haven't had any running board issues until yesterday. The passenger running board is illuminated but the driver side is not. Both sides stow and deploy just fine. Would love to know the fix also.

This is a good question.  I feel like mine recently changed their behavior.  They didn't use to come on with the remote start...at least I don't think they did.

Try looking at the front side of the LEDs. Mine had a bunch of road grime and water in it. Looks like it may have shorted out. At the dealership now. I will see what they say but probably going to have to replace the LED strip

2024 Denali ultimate here. My lights work fine, however, one bulb is out on the drivers side. Took it to the dealer (for another issue) and let them know, they found water in the light and ordered a replacement (waiting for it just like everyone else). Apparently, there is an issue with the drivers side not being properly sealed.
