Motor selection in the H2.....

I dont know what section this topic should reside..... But anyways! I also dont know if this has been discussed before so here goes. Why doesnt GM offer the D-Max in the H2. In my opinion that would be bad a§§!!!! To somewhat carry over the true grit of the real Hummer. Anybody have any thoughts on this?? If they did put one in there.............. I might even buy one!

Ah man. I didnt see that reason coming... Hell them yuppies are all about them nasty smelling incense and stuff.... Im just saying make the D-Max an option for the H2. Not standard.

I dont know man. Im with you on the H! deal though. Still be kinda cool if they put the D-Max in the H2.

From what I understand the reason you can't get the D-Max in the Sub or Yukon XL is because it wont fit. Arnt the H2s on a frame similar to that of the Tahoe?

Yeah. Sorry. Maybe its the smell of Starbucks that gets 'em all fired up. As far as it fitting.... I dont know. If you can shoe-horn an LS1 into an S-10, I think that diesel will fit in the H2!!

Paco's pic says it all. The H2 is a flimsy fake! The allison won't

even fit under it and a 4L85E probably won't hold up unless they

detune the DMAX. If you can't afford the H1 then go get a Jeep

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I am curious why so many people seem to dislike the H2. Is it the actual vehicle you don't like or is it the people who buy them? Do the people who dislike them because it does not perform have this opinion from personal experience?

 

I was just thinking, if you throw out the stereo type buyers out of the equation, you have a 3/4 ton suburban with increased approach and departure angles, 35" tires, and selectable lockers from the factory with a warranty.

 

Like I said, I'm not trying to pick a fight. I'm just trying to get an understanding of all the negative comments about them.
