i was on the board a looong time ago and asked this question but can't find it in the archives and can't remember the fix.  the wipers in my '94 6.5 turd don't want to park.  when i turn them on they just go and go untill they feel like stopping and then they stop.  they stop at the top of the windshield, right in the line of sight, over here, over there, where ever they freakin feel like it!  i'm not willing to spend big bucks to get this fixed and i remember someone saying it was pretty simple but i will put a different motor or something in it if that is what it takes to fix it.  anybody else run into this and know of a fix?

I have the same problem in heat, like 80+ days.  Just pull the fuse, its typical for the wiper motor to not want to shut off on chevy trucks.  On all my chevy trucks i've had I've had the same problem.  Soon enough you'll get good enough to pull it out and put it in while driving.  :sideways:

Funny, our truck is the complete opposite.  They never want to turn on and you can just hear the motor wining.  Usually when it's raining, we have to jump out the truck, and tap on the wiper motor box and that usually get's em jumping....althought that's kinda hard to do if your on a packed freeway

this is just so dumb i can't believe it.  my '81 vette doesn't have as many problems as this truck does.  you would think that wipers would be one of the simplest things they could put on a truck.  but, noooooo!  i'm thinking about going to a salvage yard and getting a complete working assembly off a wreck from the "dark side" and putting that on.  jeez, maybe i could just get a set from another corvette and use that!  might make me go faster too!

the problem in the trucks is usually found in the circuit board in the motor assembly. sometimes it's a loose solder joint that can be repaired, sometimes the board must be replaced. the board can be bought separately, you don't have to replace the whole motor.
