Yeah, it's really not as big of deal as some people make it out to be.

 

I've lowered 3 of my personal trucks, had to remove the u bolts every time. I've swapped axles and leaf springs on many other trucks without ever replacing the u-bolts. If you put them back on evenly and use the correct torque spec, you won't have a problem.

Rock on man. Do you know the bolt torque spec?

I think the spec was like 59 ft lbs but then 130 degrees additional but I don't have the spec in front of me. I honestly think I probably did like 100 ft lbs or something like that. Then I retorque them after 100 miles.
