I have a new 2024 Sierra AT4X and every time I tap the Android Auto icon I receive a message that "Android Auto has encountered an unexpected error" with an Exit button.

My Android auto apps work, and I can select them from the left part of the screen, or the running app on the right..

My phone is a Galaxy Fold 4, with all updates, and the truck says I have no updates....

Assuming you're using wireless AA, try completely unpairing everything for Bluetooth AND Android Auto (you'll want to use the Search function in settings on the phone to find the AA controls and delete the truck). Power cycle the phone, close and lock the truck.

When you restart the pairing process, have WiFi on the phone disabled and use a good quality cable to connect it to the truck. See if your experience changes. If not, back to the dealership as there is either something corrupt or there actually is a software update that you need that isn't advertised OTA (also, OTA updates are causing severe issues with a number of trucks - I've completely disabled them on my Silverado after it caused corruption in my messaging broker module in the truck and I got a CEL at 500 miles combined with just about every warning message on the dash possible).
