2019 Chassis Swap with 2015

I just found the window sticker for the 2019 LD, and it says the rear axle is 3.42 ratio.  I assume the front is the same.  I've attached the photos of the vin and another sticker from the 2015 z71.  not sure if it helps @newdude @mikeyk101

I would probably assume the same thing as well. The rear gearing should be the same as front gearing. There may also be a sticker with all the codes for all the different options and specs stuck on back wall of glove box and that would probably help. Not sure if you have access to that.

You would just have to know which gears are in the differential you picked up and make sure it matches the rear gearing. I am fairly certain that 3.42 and 3.73 were two of the possibilities but cantt remember the third. Maybe 3.04???

I also attached a pic of how the chassis looks now.  Just trying to get everything bolted up, brake and fuel lines ran before putting the body back on.  Thanks for the help!

Not the same.  Axle on the left is 3.42, axle on the right is 3.08 (2015 truck).

 

The good news, the housing and actuator are all the same 2014-2019 so you could (if you wanted to) swap the gearing over and re-gear the 2015 housing with the 2019 ring and pinion and diff.

So when I cut the chassis down I now don't  have space for the fuel vapor canister.  And unfortunately someone seems to have thrown it in the trash.  My question is, Can i just tie-in the vent line from the engine to the vent line at the tank without the canister/purge valve?  If this is possible, will a different gas cap need to be installed so the tank can vent? Or do I just  let the tank vent to atmosphere  and return line also just vents to atmosphere?
