OK so I have a 02 chevy Silverado 2500 I have had multiple issues.  I currently  have a fuel pressure  drop issues. Fuel pump , fuel pressure regulator , fuel filter is all new and sill over 4-5 hours it drops pressure. Then I have a a battery issue. New battery and alternator   and I have been jumping my battery every day after my truck sits over night .but my truck has 285000 miles on it . The gauge cluster has issues I have one gauge that is erratic and that is the oil pressure gauge then I have no back lighting so I replaced  the bulbs with blue leds and they come on for about 15 minutes then they go out . And tip would be appreciated  I don't trust dealership  or shops so I do most of my mechanic work but just can't figure this out

No dead battery problems before replacing bulbs with LEDs? If not there is your issue. You probably need to let someone else replace them and replace stepper motors. That's my .02 worth for now.

If you can disconnect the cluster at the back overnight then you have your answer

You say that you have a new battery. Just because its new doesn't mean that it is good. I had problems with mine. After three batteries I finally got a good one. So from now on any time I buy a battery I will be checking to make sure they are good and up to specs.

Didn't have the issue till 5 months later so me replacing the bulbs to led is not it I'm not stupid  . But that's for the useless comment .I have rebuild plenty of trucks and never at this problem ! Intill I got this pos 02 that was Frankenstein and also I started having issues when I drove the truck up north for work

I had bought a bad alternator  from advance auto and had them replace it  then that one overcharged past 19 volts so they would not giv3 me money back or exchange it do to it being a store up north so I spent another 300 at orileys  then started having the issue .had battery check but it's good.

It's a place to start. That's why I asked. It's not a useless point. You don't give much if any real detail on what you tried or not tried.

So with your attitude I'll move on and you can guess the next thing to try and look into. *Hint* Been discussed plenty of times

have a good day
