2024 Tow Mirror Trim Question

Looking @ the RH mirror on my truck & I'm puzzled by the 'protrusion'. The LH side just has the camera.

My truck is a 2024 LT w/ the base towing mirrows (only power folding, no power telescoping). 

 

If anyone could check and/or fill me in on what the 'detail' is, it would be appreciated.

Outside ambient temperature sensor.  In the mirror now instead of the grille.

Whew! Thanks a bunch. I thought a piece has gotten knocked off by some road debris. In 2023 driving on I-94 north of Minneapolis, I had a chunk of 'gator', hit my RH mirror causing a filler piece to 'disappear'
