2014 AFM

looking for info on the AFM for my 14 GMC Sierra. SLT     i just turned over 100,000.   regular oil changes.  but.  is now throwing code with flashing check engine light.  mechanic says it is possibly stuck lifter spring out of # 4 cylinder.....changed ignition coil...  nope.....good spark....and now we are at the broken spring scenario.   so.  after reading I need to have it repaired. and then install the AFM disabler.    was going to purchase a Range model. but. when I check to see if it works on my truck it says NO!!!  WTH. ok. the Hypertch power stay??   

 

not sure which one to buy

 

am kind hoping its maybe just a plug. but he hasn't gotten that far yet.   

another's out there with this problem.   any help would be greatly appreciated

If you disable the AFM system, the same lifters (AFM) are still in the engine, and are still being used.

 

If you delete the whole AFM system, those lifters will no longer be in the engine.
