I saw that part... I believe it was "America went down a rabbit hole in Vietnam and I feel that we are going down a rabbit hole again" followed by a great applause.

The guy made the documentary "The Fog of War" if you wanna try and get his name.

But then again, who can take a guy seriously that wears a suit with white tennis shoes to the Oscars???

But it was Errol Morris, who won best documentary feature for "The Fog of War" -- about former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara and lessons learned from the Vietnam War -- who took the most direct aim.

After a jubilant opening -- "I'd like to thank the Academy -- for finally recognizing my films! I thought it would never happen!" said Morris, considered one of the masters of the documentary -- he turned to the subject of his film and the current political situation.

"I fear we're going down a rabbit hole once again," he said. "And if people can stop and think and reflect on some of the ideas and issues in this movie, perhaps I've done some d**n good here."

Crystal, playing host to the Oscars for the eighth time, was in fine form.

"I can't wait for his tax audit," he said after Morris' speech.

The real question is had anyone else heard of his crappy movie in the first place? LOL

IMHO...I think if you have ever made a movie, you shouldn't be allowed to talk about politics, because you have no idea how the real world works....I dunno something pisses me off about some actor busting on US policy, while watching the news in their 5 million dollar house in Malibu....I wonder how many of them have maids that are illegal?

I agree. People pay money to see you on screen playing someone else, quite frankly who you are or your personal views are no more important than anyone elses. The fact that you make over 100x more a year than most people does not really help to put you in touch with the regular working class of America.

I watched Billy Crystal and then shut it off....Movie people cheering movie people, who then get up and poo-poo everything under the sun and puke out their views, this country stinks,we shouldn't be at war, this is wrong, that sux, blah, blah, blah, get back in your hummer, limo, whatever,go to your billion dollar mansion and shut the he!! up......rant over..... :D:cheers::D

I wouldn't take any actor seriously on political issues but the fact is that they are given a huge forum at the Oscars, on the news and in print. They are heros to some who immediately think that whatever they say is the truth. Their audience is bombarded by the same type of crap from a majority of the libereal news media and liberal news papers lake the New York Times and the lLos Angeles times. I refuse to go to movies starring Tim Robins , George Looney, Susan Saranden, and Sean Penn.

Sure those actors have a right to say whatever they want but they should study the issues before they appear on stage on a stage in front of millions of viewers and spout their simplistic views on the government. The only stupider ones are the actors in the audience who cheer them on.

These people are so rich they will never know what the real world is like. They will never have to scrape up pennies to pay the gas bill or buy groceries. Their

personel lives are about as far from the mainstream as it can be. They have little respect for the family. They marry and divorce like trading in a car

Tune them out.

They need to get rid of that whole opening shtick. I mean who thought Crystal was funny? The fact that he got applause and laughter should tell you that the place was full of people operating on a different wavelength to the rest of us.

Do a bit of sketch comedy - I thought the bit with Robin Williams was good, but keep away from the singing thing.

Clint should have popped him when he sat on his lap. That would have been good TV!

And I think Peter Jackson is a god but couldn't they dress him a bit better. He looked like he had just emerged from a hobbit hole!

I agree. These people anger me and raise my blood pressure.

That's the reason I didn't even watch. If nobody watches, they

won't have these stupid events.

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
