You all might want to do a search for something like "rain x windshield washer fluid bad for sensor". Effects apply across many brands from Ferrari to BMW to VW to Ram. Apparently it's not just Rain X, it's anything with a water beading or water repellent additive.

I prefer not to take the chance. I already have a low washer fuid alert and I haven't used my washer maybe 5 times since I bought the truck. I'm pretty sure my issue is due to evaporation over time, but why open myself up to a "potential" issue?

Just read in owner's manual:

"Do not use washer fuild that contains any type of water repellent coating."

I'm done. I'm just getting regular fluid to fill it up.

Thanks.

May as well give the whole "caution"

Do not use washer fluid that contains any type of water repellent coating.

This can cause the wiper blades to chatter or skip.

I would not be afraid of the water repellent.

And, then there's all those other reports all over the web. Normally, I would take those reports with a grain of salt, but when there are THAT many of them, including a dismissed class action that was once filed, it spells trouble. Maybe GM doesn't have enough sensor failures to write something more specific in the manual and I'm not waiting until they do. Just like how they waited until there were 28,000 6.2 motor problem reports filed before they issued a recall. It's not worth it to me. I actually don't want water repellent in the washer fluid, but it doesn't seem like washer fluid comes with a bug remover without also including the repellent. So, I will just wash bugs off by hand.
