I recently purchased a 2024 Silverado with a Borla cat back s-type exhaust.  I love the aggressive sound, but. Neighbours do not love it at 5 am when I leave for work. Are there any options to quiet it down but maintain some of the deep growl? From what I can gather , the touring system is quieter. Can I purchase just a touring muffler and swap it out the s type muffler without any modification to the existing piping? Would adding a resonator help? Any other advice other than putting the stock system back on?

I have heard of others that the Atak muffler was too loud a m d swapped to a Touring muffler, but other than reverting back to the stock system the only input I can give is -"The neighbors will learn to live with it"

I recently installed the AWE OFG CAT BACK 3" TRUE DUAL WITH AN H PIPE, and it also has an aggressive cold starts, but quiets down quickly,  about 45 seconds.

I absolutely enjoy the deep V8 rumble with this setup. I'm not one to leave the truck warming up for long periods, it really is not healthy for the motor to do that anyway.  Once the idle comes down after startup it is ready to drive. Even when I leave at 5 am, I don't rev it or mash the gas in the neighborhood,  and they can turn over and go back to sleep.

This AWE system has no drone at any speed, and it's only loud when I mash the accelerator,  then it roars. I just want to give a shout out to the folks at AWE. They make a quality product, and in my opinion,  The best sounding exaust on the planet!Screenshot_20251005_224908_Chrome.thumb.jpg.85519f23e92f5c284e3cc1f5cd8b3866.jpgScreenshot_20251005_224908_Chrome.thumb.jpg.85519f23e92f5c284e3cc1f5cd8b3866.jpgScreenshot_20251005_224926_Chrome.thumb.jpg.6107af0150d6b250ae764b013fd8ea8a.jpg

I am no longer in the HDMI club !

Neither is this guy. AI sucks sometimes. Why did they  put the exaust pipe in the middle ?

Or, did it confuse the receiver hitch opening an exaust port?
