Replacing dash speakers in a 2024 Silverado LT without Bose and 13.4 screen

I have been doing some research and cant seem to find the answer. In a 2024 Silverado LT without Bose and 13.4 screen setup I am trying to replace the stock dash speakers and have two questions. I am looking at installing JL Audio CF-275MT dash speakers. I have JBL 964m in the doors. Does the head unit filter the low frequency sent to the dash speakers. I am reading reviews on this speaker and others and many mention not to put the inline filter that comes with the speaker saying it distorts if you do, so a lot of people have run it without the filter, but they never mention if it is stock like mine or Bose so thats why I am here. Is the filter needed in my setup? Also is there a connector there that a harness can plug into.

The OEM tweeter has a filter so when I replaced my tweeters, I removed the OEM filter and wired in the one that came with the new tweeters. Yes, there is a plug. Doing it this way was not plug and play. I spent about an hour on each tweeter getting them to the point they were plug and play.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have to solder the filter? Any good guide online for that?

I have vaguely seen pics of it somewhere I know you are referring to . The JL Audio's I intend on buying come with a filter at 450hz and wondering if the would work instead. That being said I know the JBL's you bought also come with them so there must be a reason why you didnt use them.

It may be hard to see, but I did use the filter that came with the JBLs. I cut off the OEM connector which has the OEM filter molded into it. I used a dremel to remove the OEM filter, glued the JBL on in the same space, and then soldered it and the tweeter into the connector. Then I glued my masterpiece onto the bottom of the JBL tweeter housing/cup that came with it. I didn’t look for a write up so can’t help you there.
