Diable my truck?????

How can I disable my truck, besides locking it up, or un-hooking the battery? Is there a fuse or something I can take out?

Pull all the ignition fuses? IGN 1-3 should do it.

But why? Get a master cutoff switch with a bypass for the computer/clock/radio presets. Lets you prevent the vehicle from starting but allows all the devices that need that small amount of power to get it.

Pull the fuel pump relay. Do you plan on disabeling it for a long time? Going somewhere? This is not a good solution for short term, but if your leaving town for a while, pull the relay and bring it with you.

 

But after further thought you'd have to pull all the relays since you could pull one of the other relays and plug it in the fuel pump position. Same would be true for fuses, if the theif knows where to look.

Pulling the FP relay may not work. One thing I considered with my old truck was just unplugging the fuel pump, the leads were RIGHT behind the bumper (SUV with tank under the load floor). Dunno if that'd be possible with my current truck or your truck, but it's something that wouldn't be obvious.

So I can pull the ignition fuses, and it won't effect my computer or anything, it will just keep my truck from starting?
