Does anyone in here have any kind of pull with these guys. I bought a 8 point from them thinking that would be find but I went and put fiberglass parts on and more added more horsepower, I need more protection so I want to go with a 10 point. They are only a $50 difference if you buy them at once. Well it's $119 just for the haylow (sp) to make it a 10 point. I would hate to spend an extra $70 if I really don't have to.

I'm sure your significant other said  "I told you so!"

Actually no she isn't.  She knows that I am trying to get it cheaper, but if I can't then oh well.  She wants me to have the 10 point due to the 8 point now having much protection. When it comes to my car she for the most part let's me make my own decisions.  She has the money decisions.

I hear ya on that one.

When I was going back racing in my 14 sec. car for the third season, mine said, with foot planted, "get the roll bar if you wanna go racing!!"

I love it when I have the last word(s) --- "Yes, Dear"

SO, my buddies at the body shop TIG'd it in for me, and I painted it black. Padded it, I wished I had done it sooner.

I also put on frame connectors, really strengthen the car, leaves alot straighter.

My suggestion is after putting in cage, take car to shop and have them do a Thrust Angle alignment, makes a world of difference, it references the front axle to the rear axle, therefore telling the technican(?) what values to use to set the SAI. Made a new car out of my 11.90 68 Camaro/350/PG, especially w/1-finger power steering. Wouldn't change that for the world, maybe, I do have a limit.

I'm rambling, I better go,
