2001 Sonoma Psgr Side Mirror

Okay so I have been wearing her out about slammingthe dang door so hard.

The glass fell out & busted. Closer inspection reveals that the entire plastic assembly broke. The dealership has ordered me a new mirror unit $83.00 (not tooooooo bad)

Just wondering if anybody else lost one in this fashion...or perhaps somebody has one that they don't want?

Thats wierd.. Never heard that happen.. Maybe if it was like 100 below and everything was frozen then i could believe it..

I thought it would be warantee work though??

Dealer Says:

Damage not warranty.

Truck has 1300 miles on it

c'mon, the dealer won't do it for you, they know they are asking for months of complaining. Tell them if they didn't build an inferior product, then this wouldn't have happened.

Thats nuts!

How can they prove it wasnt a defect... *It should be with the truck being that old..* Even if it was your fault they should replace it no questions asked.. I know my last car was a 00 Z24 and the first month the guy bought it the transmission went.. They pulled it apart to find major abuse and they still replaced it no questions asked and it was a year old with 35000 kms

Doesnt sound right IMO!

WARRANTY DOES NOT INCLUDE ABUSE, MISUSE OR NEGLECT. *SLAMMING* THE DOOR IS CONSIDERED NEGLECT. PLUS THERE WOULD BE NO WAY THAT THE DEALER COULD JUSTIFY THE EXPENSE TO OUR REP.
