It depends on wich way you want the axel to tilt, if you want it to tilt up more then put the thick end to the front of the truck. If you want the axel to tilt down put the thick side to the rear.

I'm guessing because you are droping the truck that you would want the axel to tilt down, so that would meen tick side to the rear

I would have thought you could have simply looked at it and seen this one? Either way, worse comes to worse, you should be able to put it together and see, if it goes the rong way then turn the wedge around

QUOTE from RICO750sxi: I have a Silverado SS with 2" shackles and a 2* shim. I have the shim with the fat part at the back and (FINALLY!!!) have no vibration. I struggled for a while with a vibration when I lowered also. The shim with the fat part to the rear fixed it for me. Another thing is if you are lowering the front. It seems as though anything more than 2" on the SS causes CV vibration, don't know how it is for a SD though. Just another thing to remember. Hope you get it worked out.

I found this on another thread. It seems bartlanz is correct. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you. I will be doing the same to my truck in the next few weeks.
