Airaid

Have any of you used the Airaid MIT Intake Tube with the stock airbox and K&N drop in filter? I am considering this setup or a UPD (NSV) (NSV), so far I am going for the UPD (NSV) (NSV). Just wondering if anyboy has had luck with this system. Please let me know. I am also posting this in the High Performance Forum.

I just posted a topic asking why should i spend 300 bucks on a full fip kit when taking the lid off the air box and dropping in a k and n would seem do do just as good. I was gonna make a custom intake tube and still probably will cause it looks like airraid doesn't make one for a 5.7L. If I am mistaken let me know. It seems like a better deal to do it this way.

I always felt the same way on my '99 I don't see much benefit for a new intake except making the hole going into the air box bigger and eleminating that funky tube that the mice spinning the crank can hide in.

all i did was buy just the filter(cone shape)

That sounds great but I want to stick to a closed filter system, and replace the resonator boxes from the stock tube.
