Single Box for 8" Sub

I want to add a little bass to my stereo in my truck. I have an ext. cab 2002 silverado. I want to put an 8" sub under my back seat and I just want one speaker. I was wondering if anyone makes a custom box for an 8" to fit under my back seat.

Thanks in advance

take a look at the JL Audio micro subs. I have 2 8.1's behind the seat in my crew cab and they hit nice and hard, real punchy if you want them to be. they come with a decent mounting bracket so I am sure you can make them work

I bought a half box at my local stereo dealer for $89 that fits under the back seat. I will hold either a 10" or 12" sub and looks just fine.

They do order them from somewhere.....I'll take a picture of it tomorrow

Here is how I put the sub (10" JL) into the back of the truck. I did not want to kill all the space under the seat. This way my Navigation sensor can still sit on the hump and I can still put the tools under the other seat.

Hey jlh0799 , you could go down to your local stereo shop, and just pick up a pair of regular old 8" subs in behind the seat truck enclosures, and drop them behind your rear seat.

Yup...They will fit. You will have to pull your rear seat out to get them in there, but there is enough room back there for 8 inchers, and possibly your amp, if you're carefully frugal with your install space.

I doubt that they will sell you only one, but a pair of them with a decent set of subs only run about $100 around here.

Depending on how much money you want to spend... I've got a JL Stealthbox complete with a JL 12" sub I'm trying to get rid of, that came out of my '02 Silverado EC. It's carpeted to match the stock grey carpeting, and the sub is matched to the box (came from JL that way.) Sounds GREAT, mounts to the floor and fits flush under the seat, almost looks factory. I've only got about 2 months on the box, it's in mint shape. I'm about to put it on eBay - I'll let you have it for $300 plus shipping. If you're interested, I can take some pics of it for you...
