Here is a load of info for you guys to review. Both are 5.0 Megapixels. The Canon has a SLIGHT advantage in color reflectors or whatever those sensors are called. I just want to know if the Canon is worth the extra $190!!!1 for that much, I could buy the Kodak, and the Photo Printer that foes with it. I want something that is compact, and easy to use, and good bang for the buck. Kodak is the bang-for-the-buck winner right off the bat, but will I regret not spending the extra 200 on the Canon?

Here is another site for you to get a crapload more info to confuse your decision.

**Steves Digicams**

**5-8 Megapixel camera reviews**

I like Steves because he takes pictures of the same objects with every camera he reviews....You can line em up...Side by side. Tons of very high res pics on there.

Just trying to help.

FYI... You could probably do with a lower res camera. My camera is only 3.2 MP, and the pics it takes look amazing in print, I had a 2' x 3' poster made up out of one pic, and it turned out great. 8.5 x 11s look perfect.

That said...I want a new camera too.

well, look at the swarming replies........

I think I may go with the Kodak. and get the printer too.....

On the Canon:

but, Best Buy has a 110% price match, and right now CC sells it for $270, so I might be able to get it for $243..........heh........

For digi cams i like olympus.

Sorry, I saw your IM after you logged off.

I have an olympus 3020 which is a 3.2 megapixel. I can print a flawless 8x10 so why people keep pushing for more megapixels is beyond me. Unless you are making something huge you really don't need.

I actually just bought the olympus 4000 at work to take to job sites and the same printer that I have.

Just my 2 cents.

If you want a good printer go to jandr.com and get an epson r300. it's 180 bucks and you get amazing photo quality, plus it's six color offset. Also, you can buy printable cds and print them with it. I'm not talking sticky labels, i'm talking putting the cd in the printer. I love it. I have one at work and home.
