Looks now that we're getting a Ford

The dodge is LITERALLY on it's last leg. It's knocking, water in the oil, tranny's jerking like a mother between 40 and 50 mph, if it sits longer than 10 min it's a B_*-T-C-H to start, etc etc etc.

We replaced the hoses and thermo yesterday, I flushed the radiator out, etc. Ran good last night (well, COOLER at least), but ONCE AGAIN even w/ a 160* thermo, it's pushing 245 already!!!!!

Soooooooo my dad decided to go look at trucks. Dodge he ain't gettin anymore, the Chevy's too much for him, but he found a Ford He likes. 04 F-250, 6.0 Powersmoke diesel, 5 spd.? auto, Crew cab long bed, loaded w/ everything but leather and 4 wheel. Sales mn told him he could prolly get it to our driveway for around 34-35 out the door, after the rabtes and all. I was talking with pops today, he was saying it was lugging like hell (even I noticed driving of course heh), so yeah.....

Ford's not as bad as Dodge, but we haven't heard of problems with the 6.0 yet, so we'll see how things go! I'm pretty sure though, we're going to go look at it once more this week, he's even talking about scraping his down payment up this week

Like I said, even though it's a "f-----s Only RUN Downhill", it's a sweet ass truck!

Tell, your pop to try at wait till the 05's come out. The early 6.0's powestrokes had injector and turbo issues. I still stay in contact with a few friends at the Ford dealer I used to work at. I believe they have the bugs worked out, but its better to be safe then sorry.

Yeah, I heard thy had a feew slight problems, same as the Dmax, like injectors and such. My bro's friend bought an 03 ext. cab 6.0, tranny went out at 15K miles, but other people sem to be happy.

His thing is he's trying to talk himself out of the truck, but at the same time he's trying to figure out if it's exactly what he wants. He's never been a Ford fan, but for the price compared to a Dmax, andthe s**tty Dodges, it's looking like ford's a frunt runner. IF the Dodge will make it another 6 months (like he's hoping, which it wont ), we might be gettin a 05
