went to google and typed in "gm keyless remote program jimmy"

and found on the 2nd link:

<< You're not the only one!!! checkout keylessride.com I think... THEY can (over the phone & for a hefty fee)easily instruct anyone to reprogram any remote. THEREFORE, someone should post it somewhere. I understand all GM dealers can perform this task as they work from a GM STmanual (or something like that). I found THIS on the net for a GM remote ending in the number 805(JIMMY & BLAZER) and it worked perfectly.Direct from GM's S/T 1998 Manual page 8-856 Transmitter Programming: 1)With the driver door closed, hold down the power unlock button on the door panel. 2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position 3)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position 4)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position 5)Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position 6)Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner in order to indicate that the receiver is in the programming mode: 6.1)Locking the doors 6.2)Unlocking the doors IMPORTANT: All extra transmitters must be programmed at this time. When a new transmitter is programmed it will deactivate the old transmitters. 7)Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the transmitter until the remote control door lock reciever will respond in the following manner: 7.1)Locking the doors 7.2)Unlocking the doors 8)Repeat step 7 for each additional transmitter 9) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode. There... your little GM secret is finally known... Now can someone out there start posting these program codes for the rest of us!Thank you.

Tried this on two remotes that I had bought off Ebay for my 2001 GMC. Worked, perfectly, in about two minutes. Thanks Stu, I owe you. >>

I'm interested to know if this works for you!

Just a thought. You might want to check the batteries in your remote. If they are weak or dead the vehicle may not be receiving the signal from the remotes.
